The new Subaru Forester GT Edition has been unveiled by Motor Image, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles across eight markets in Asia.

This special edition Forester, designed exclusively for Asia, is the second GT Edition model by Motor Image (the first being XV GT Edition).

It is created in close collaboration with renowned engineering company Giken Co. Ltd and Mr. Masahiko 'Jack' Kobayashi. Mr. Kobayashi is the former Chief Designer (Head of Global Advanced Design Studio) at Subaru Corporation and was responsible for the exterior design of more than 12 Subaru production models, including the legendary WRX STI.

The Forester GT Edition features a new front bumper extension, new side skirts, a new spoiler and a new rear bumper extension, giving the car a sleeker and sportier look. These exterior additions are complemented by 18-inch bespoke alloy wheels. The cabin features an exclusive seat-leather design inspired by the cabins of high performance grand tourers from Germany and the U.K.

Completing the equipment package of the Forester GT Edition is a new 8.0-inch Display Audio System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a 360-degree Around View Monitor camera system. 

Tailored specifically with Motor Image's in-depth understanding of the market, Mr Kobayashi's expertise, as well as Giken's experience, the Forester GT Edition is expected to be a game-changer for Subaru in Asia.

The Forester GT Edition comes with the four hallmark Subaru core technologies - Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer Engine, Subaru Global Platform and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.

The Subaru Forester GT Edition will make its first public appearance at the Taipei International Auto Show in December 2019, followed by the Singapore Motorshow in January 2020, the Bangkok International Motor Show in March 2020 and the Manila International Auto Show in April 2020. The Forester GT Edition will go on sale in Singapore when it is presented at next year's Singapore Motor Show.
