Order books open for the Peugeot 2008 and e-2008 in the U.K.

Peugeot has opened the order books for the new 2008 SUV and its full electric counterpart, the e-2008 SUV in the U.K.

Peugeot's 3D i-Cockpit gives the interior a multifunction steering wheel as well as a a configurable 3D instrument panel display

The all new Peugeot e-2008 SUV is the second full electric model available from Peugeot as the brand implements its strategy of providing an electrified derivative of every model by 2023.

Peugeot's new generation of electric vehicles fulfil the brand's philosophy of 'Unboring the Future' by offering customers the option to 'choose your Peugeot, choose your powertrain' without compromising on space, technology, looks or driving sensation.

Designed to put the driver in full control, the U.K. versions of the Peugeot 2008 SUV will come with Peugeot's 3D i-Cockpit, which features a compact multifunction steering wheel, a configurable 3D instrument panel display, and either a 7.0-inch or a 10.0-inch HD colour touchscreen.

The interior can also be personalised with a choice of eight LED mood lighting colours. Customers in the U.K. will also benefit from Mirror Screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all versions, and Connected 3D Navigation and Full Park Assist, both available from the GT Line.

The e-2008 receives a 50kWh battery and 136bhp motor to provide a WLTP range of up to 331km

The all new Peugeot 2008 SUV also comes fitted with a range of safety technologies, including Speed Limit Recognition and Recommendation, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Technologies and Programmable Cruise Control with Speed Limiter.

A 1.2-litre PureTech engine is offered for the 2008 in the U.K., with power outputs of 100bhp, 130bhp, and 155bhp. The e-2008 meanwhile receives a 50kWh battery and 136bhp motor to provide a range up to 331km from a full charge under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).
