  • Genesis reveals first renderings of all new G80

The first renderings of the new Genesis G80 present the brand's 'Athletic Elegance' design language interpreted in an executive luxury sedan.

Genesis has unveiled a series of design renderings of the new G80.

The all new G80 will debut in the Korea this month and will feature a new design and platform, as well as new powertrains and advanced driver assistance systems.

The design of the headlamps are mirrored in the taillights of the G80
The new car is said to embody Genesis' 'Athletic Elegance' design language, which is said to allow variations in design interpretations by enabling a carefully-considered balance between the two opposing characteristics of Athleticism and Elegance.

The Crest Grille and the two lines of the headlamps circumventing all sides of the vehicle are signature design elements of the brand, first introduced in the GV80.

The side profile meanwhile, features a long sweeping Parabolic Line which flows from the front to the rear, evoking the elegance of classic cars of the past. This is counterbalanced with an upswept chrome line to maintain directional posture. Sharp athletic power lines on the front and rear fenders emphasise the powerful stance of the 20-inch wheels.

A horizontal 14.5-inch infotainment screen and slim air conditioning vents visually stretch the width of the cabin
The rear of the car is defined by its tail lamps and the horseshoe-shaped negative surface of the decklid. The trunk release button and surrounding chrome garnish mimics the shape of the Genesis logo to re-assert the brand's visual identity.

In the cabin, the dashboard features a widescreen 14.5-inch infotainment screen. Slim air conditioning vents visually stretch the width of the cabin. Special care was taken to reduce the thickness of the A-pillars and the size of the rear-view mirror, giving the driver a relaxed and panoramic view when seated.
