Dacia has released the third generation Sandero and Sandero Stepway, the first Dacia models to be built on the new CMF platform.

Dacia has refreshed its offers in the compact car segment with the all new Sandero and Stepway. The latest third generation models offer simple, spacious, reliable and robust vehicles with no unnecessary frills, at the most competitive price.

An iconic and popular model, the Sandero has been the best-selling car in Europe in the retail customer segment since 2017 and the best-selling Dacia model with almost 2.1 million cars sold, representing 32% of the carmaker's sales since 2004. The more adventurous Stepway represents 65% of all Sandero sales, with more than 1.3 million cars sold, and has been the Sandero model of choice for the majority of customers in recent years.

The new Sandero receives subtle tweaks to give a smoother and more flowing design
Subtle tweaks to the exterior ensure the all new Sandero delivers an strong and robust presence. The overall lines are smoother, with a more sloped windscreen, a slightly lower roof and a flowing roofline. Ground clearance is unchanged, yet the new Sandero gives the impression of a lower and more grounded car.

The all new Stepway meanwhile is immediately recognisable at the front, with its unique ribbed and domed bonnet, the chrome Stepway logo under the front grille, and the curved fenders above the fog lights.

The front and rear bumpers include a metal skid plate designed to give protection from everyday scratches. The all new Stepway offers 174mm ground clearance (41mm more than the Sandero), roof bars, wheelarch cladding and specifically textured reinforced door bottoms for a more crossover-like design.

The new CMP modular platform forms the underpinnings of the new Sandero and Sandero Stepway
The new engine lineup includes the SCe 65 naturally aspirated 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, the TCe 90 turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously-variable transmission, and the TCe 100 Bi-Fuel, which is a new LPG bi-fuelled turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

The all new Sandero and Stepway are the first Dacia models to be built on the CMF modular platform.

The new CMF modular platform underpinning the all new Sandero and Stepway combines greater resistance and rigidity with less weight. It reduces emissions while complying with more stringent crash test and pollution control requirements.
