Dacia Spring receives updates including two new motors

The Spring, Dacia's first all-electric model, has gotten updates such as a new chassis and two new motors, which replaces the Electric 45 and Electric 65.
Its chassis now houses a new battery in its reinforced central section. These changes make its structure stiffer and optimise weight distribution between its front and rear to improve the overall balance of the Spring.
In addition to this, it also gets an anti-roll bar which will come as standard on all versions and various aerodynamic improvements. These include a set of fairings at its front, sides, and rear, as well as a new spoiler.
The new addition of 52kW and 75kW motors will replace the previous 33kW and 48kW units respectively. These new powertrains will also work with a new 24.3kWh LFP battery for better thermal safety, longevity, and cost.
Charging is optimised with a new 40kW DC onboard charger, compared with the 30kW unit previously. Available on the Extreme trim level, it charges the battery from 20-80% in just 29 minutes. A 7kW AC charger is still standard on all Spring models.
The 52kW powertrain will be available with the Expression trim, while the 75kW option is available on the Extreme trim.
Otherwise, it still offers 308 litres of boot space that can increase to 1,004 litres with the rear seats folded down. Its interior also offers plenty of storage space in the glove box, centre console, and door bins for an addition 32 litres. All Spring models will also come with a customisable seven-inch digital instrument cluster as standard.
