The brand new Audi e-tron GT has made its digital world premiere, demonstrating the brand's plans for shaping an emotional and fascinating future of mobility.

Two models will be simultaneously introduced in the market - the e-tron GT quattro and the RS e-tron GT. With the e-tron GT, Audi is reinterpreting the gran turismo philosophy - delivering a four-door coupe with a dynamic design and powerful electric drive, while offering ample confidence whether over long distances or in everyday driving. The RS e-tron GT also serves as the spearhead of electrification at Audi and Audi Sport GmbH. 

Measuring 4,990mm long, 1,960mm wide and 1,410mm tall, the e-tron GT boasts sporty proportions, with a wide track, flat silhouette, long wheelbase, as well as a flowing design language.

Here, the aesthetics arise from a focus on efficiency - the car has a low drag coefficient of just 0.24, which allows high efficiency and long range.

Additionally, active aerodynamics with switchable air inlets for the brakes and radiators, a rear spoiler that extends in multiple stages, a closed underbody and a wide diffuser all contribute to the car's optimised aerodynamic performance.

The interior of the e-tron GT emphasises sportiness, comfort, and expanse in equal measure. The driver and passenger sit in a sporty low position, with the central dashboard tilted slightly towards the driver.

There is also a pronounced three-dimensional instrument panel that looks light and lean. Its upper section is drawn away from the driver in a large, elegant arc.

The display of the Audi virtual cockpit plus stands freely in this space, while the MMI touch monitor is surrounded by a black piano finish bezel that seems to float above the instrument panel.

Sustainable materials also play an important part in the electric sports car. Recycled materials are used, with the seats upholstered either with a combination of artificial leather and the Kaskade material or with a mixture of artificial leather and the microfiber material Dinamica. The floor carpet and floor mats are made from Econyl, a material that consists of 100% recycled nylon fibres.

Dynamic performance in guaranteed with electric all-wheel drive, courtesy of two electric motors, one on each axle. The Audi e-tron GT quattro has a total output of 469bhp and 630Nm of torque, and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 245km/h. The RS e-tron GT outputs 590bhp and 830Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 250km/h. 

The lithium-ion battery has a net energy capacity of 85kWh, with one charge delivering a predicted 488km of range. 

AC charging with an output of 11kW is standard, while 22kW will be shortly available after market launch. DC charging with an output of up to 270 kW is standard, and allows very short charging times - just five minutes for roughly 100km of range. 

Unique to the e-tron GT is the way it sounds. The Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System already generates a broader sound than is legally required.

However, Audi has also composed an unique sound for the e-tron GT. The optional e-tron sport sound comprises two control units and amplifiers in the luggage compartment that generate a separate exterior and interior sound, which is output by two loudspeakers each outside and inside the vehicle. 

Data about the rotational speed of the electric motors, the load, the vehicle speed, and other parameters serves as the basis for the digital sound, a synthetic sound that offers an authentic and finely nuanced impression of the work performed by the drive system.

The new Audi e-tron GT is expected to arrive in Singapore in Q4.
