Ford takes F-150 Lightning through heat and snow

Ford has taken the F-150 Lightning through all sorts of weather to test it to the limit.
Just last months, the all-electric truck was taken into the snowy depths of the Ike Gauntlet in Colorado, U.S.A, to test its towing ability. The gauntlet is a 12.8-km stretch that ascends at a 7% incline to a maximum elevation of 3,300m above sea level around the Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel.
And to prove the truck's muster towing in extreme heat, Ford also took the F-150 Lightning to the extreme grades of Davis Dam. With ground temperatures reaching a high of 47 degrees Celsius during testing, F-150 Lightning preproduction units towed the same 4,500kg trailers for multiple loops across the dam. Davis Dam, located on State Route 68 between Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, ascends from 167m elevation to 1,066m in 18.3km.
The two testing trips are examples of the hundreds of hours of rigorous towing testing the F-150 Lightning has endured during development.
