Porsche has expanded its Track Precision app with a new integrated Free Drive mode to allow its customers to record their driving highlights, even as they use their cars on mountain passes, coastal roads or other idyllic routes.
The video footage from this mode is only recorded on a moment-by-moment basis, 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after a critical driving moment, which the car will detect either when high braking pressure, strong acceleration, or higher G-force is applied onto the vehicle.
Porsche vehicle owners also have the ability to manually mark notable moments to capture them on video, and the recorded videos can be combined with other media on a smartphone if desired.
