Volkswagen has announced that its ID. Buzz will now be part of the 'Building an Electric Future' exhibit at the Peterson Automotive Museum. The multimedia exhibit opened to the public in November 2019, showcasing the design and construction of future vehicles.
The ID. Buzz is the newest addition to the growing list of Volkswagen all electric vehicles, and is anticipated to go on sale in Europe later this year. A long wheelbase model is also planned to debut for the North American market in 2023, and go on sale in 2024.
The exhibit will showcase the technicalities of the Volkswagen MEB platform 'Building an Electric Future' is the feature installation under the 'Driving Toward Tomorrow' series of exhibits at Petersen.
The series addresses the automobile industry's current work on the future of transportation design, and displays actual concept vehicles being developed by a global selection of automobile manufacturers.
The exhibit consists of five rooms showcasing how Volkswagen's modular electric drive matrix (MEB) was engineered, the variety of models that are being planned, the flexible nature of the platform, and how the vehicles will be assembled.
