Volkswagen of America, Inc. has announced that it will be conducting a multi-city, national youth soccer clinic tour across the U.S.A, following the successful conclusion of the first of such sessions in Texas.

Making a special appearance at the inaugural clinic in Austin was Texas native and former U.S.A Men's National Team Player Clint Dempsey. Following a stellar 13-year career representing his country, Dempsey finished as the joint-leading scorer with 57 goals in 142 appearances.

Volkswagen believes that sport, and soccer in particular, is a common language that unifies cultures, celebrates the power of the human spirit, and can be a valuable contributor to growth in young people's lives. Its Youth Soccer Clinics aim to bring underserved communities closer to the game they love through greater access, education, and high-quality coaching. Designed to build confidence, a major aim of the clinics is to empower a next generation of athletes.

Back in Singapore, the German European School Singapore Volkswagen Cup saw a return in March 2023 after a three-year hiatus. The cup gave visitors the chance to attend football clinics and freestyle football performances, alongside the opportunity to test drive the latest Volkswagen vehicles.
