'Dreams in Motion' is the tagline of the 2023 Porsche World Road Show Singapore, and additionally is a perfect summation of what the drive event is all about.
Returning to Singapore for 2023, the driving event is happening from 19 to 23 May 2023, and follows from the return of Das Treffen in Bangkok, Thailand earlier this year, as well as the launch of two art pieces here in Singapore, all thrown as part of the celebrations of the firm's 75th anniversary this year.

Held at the Changi Exhibition Centre, the 2023 Porsche World Road Show Singapore gave attendees at the early preview the opportunity to get behind the wheel of up to 26 different dream models from Germany, and truly set them in motion.
A host of driving activities filled out the afternoon, from a slalom section with a Porsche 718 Boxster GTS, to an acceleration and braking course that allowed attendees to experience the 641bhp of the Porsche 911 Turbo S, as well as the sheer stopping power of its ceramic composite brakes.
There was additionally the opportunity to take models including the Cayenne, Panamera, 911, and the 718 Cayman out for a quick road drive about Changi Village - a section that demonstrated how comfortable these performance-oriented vehicles could be.
Visitors to the event will also get to witness the capabilites of the chassis and suspension of the Porsche Cayenne And fans of the Porsche Cayenne (read about the recently updated Cayenne here) were treated to the chance to take the SUV out on an "off-road" section that saw the car traversing a host of artificial obstacles designed to demonstrate the strength of the vehicle’s chassis and the ability of its all-wheel drive system and suspension.
But of course, the main highlight for most probably was the handling circuit, wherein attendees got to drive dream machines including the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and the 911 Carrera GTS, amongst others.
And driving was not the only thing that was involved at the event, for it also marked the local launch of the new 911 GT3 RS.
We were also one of the first to see the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in action here in Singapore at the event This high-performance sports car makes use of a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine that pushes out a total of 518bhp and 470Nm of torque, which will allow it to hit 100km/h from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds.
And to keep the car planted at speeds higher still, as explained to us at the event, are a host of aerodynamic components. These include, of course, the massive swan neck-supported rear wing, which can be flattened out at the push of a button thanks to a new drag reduction system, for more acceleration still on straight sections of the track.
Look carefully and you might notice that even the roof of the 911 GT3 RS sports a pair of fins at either end, designed to ensure that hot air from the front radiator does not mix with the air flowing over the roof, ensuring cooler intake temperatures for the engine.
