Lotus has announced an all new Exige V6 Cup, which is the most hardcore version of the model ever made in line with its Lotus Festival this weekend. The model will be offered in two variants: Track Day and “full-on Competition-spec”.
Power comes from the 346bhp 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine found in the Lotus Exige S. Lotus claims the Exige V6 Cup is capable of reaching 100km/h in under 4 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 274km/h. The car weighs 1080kg.
Lotus Dynamic Performance Management is fitted, allowing the driver to switch between Touring, Sport and Race modes. Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tyres, an aero-optimised front splitter, rear diffuser and wing are fitted alongside multi-adjustable suspension. A roll cage, FIA-approved fire extinguisher, HANS-compliant race seats and a removable steering wheel are offered. Buyers can choose between four- or six-point race harnesses.
Production of the Lotus Exige V6 Cup will begin in December, with an initial run of 20 cars, set to be delivered to markets by March 2013.
