Wearnes Automotive launches Cross Country equipped Volvo V40

Wearnes Automotive has announced the availability of the V40 Cross Country (CC) on our local shores. Unlike its bigger XC siblings, the V40 CC boasts a certain ruggedness fond of urban-SUV's with its unique features integrated to a stylish 'unorthodox' Volvo package.
The V40 CC can be differentiated from the normal V40 hatchback thanks to darkened bumpers, a honeycomb mesh grille and upright DRL-lights.
Off road inspired cosmetic details include the sculpted sills that are finished in a contrasting colour and rear bumpers with the integrated skid plate. Other cosmetic touches include anodised, black high-gloss frame, darkened wing mirror housings and sleek rails trailing the roof.
The leather upholstery can be finished in five different versions, including an Espresso Brown accent colour. The Raw Copper finish of the car is spilled into the cabin with a contrasting stitch effect. The large glass panel drowns the interior with natural light and visually expands the space while rejecting infrared radiation from entering the cabin.
Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the V40 CC is powered by a 1.6-litre powertrain with 180bhp and 270Nm of torque and is also equipped with Start-Stop and braking energy regeneration for added efficiency. It sips 6.1L/100 km while emitting 143g/km of CO2 emissions. A Polestar Power Optimisation with 200bhp and 260Nm of torque is also available as an option.
As expected of a Volvo, the V40 CC adds several high-tech features and safety systems from its larger stablemates - i.e. Lane Keeping Aid, Driver Alert Control, Road Sign Information and City Safety as standard.
