The 4C is arguable one of the most awaited cars from Alfa Romeo's stable in recent times. Unlike other supercars, the 4C has a relatively low power rating of 240bhp. However, it utilises extensive weight saving measures, which give it a power to weight ratio of more than 250bhp/tonne, allowing it to sprint to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds.
And like many sports car manufacturer, Alfa Romeo has brought the 4C to the legendary Nurburgring track, where it completed one lap in an impressive 8:04, making it the fastest car in the 'under 250bhp' category.
Other figures of the 4C also point towards a driver-centric car, which provide sensational and extraordinary performance, such as exerting forces of up to 1.1g and 1.2g in lateral acceleration and deceleration respectively.
The test on the German track is one of the many that the 4C has to undergo, including extreme temperatures of -35-degree Celsius in Sweden and 40-degree Celsius in Abu Dhabi.
Credits where it's due, the test car was granted superior traction thanks to the special Pirelli Zero Trofeo tyres - the top-of-line model in Pirelli's sporting lineup - which is also approved for road use.
