Key things to know about the Defender Trophy Edition

The Defender that you see here clad with the eye-catching colour on this lovely page is the Trophy Edition that celebrates the iconic Camel Trophy challenge where participants travelled the world in sand-yellow Defenders to prove that they were as tough as nails and arguably the car itself too.
While the notoriously rigorous Camel Trophy is a thing of a past, Land Rover has introduced a new Defender Trophy challenge for 2026, with a special and limited-run Defender 110 Trophy Edition model to go with it.
Here's what you need to know about the Defender 110 Trophy Edition:
1. Yellow fellow or green queen
There are several differences, obviously, between the Trophy Edition and the regular updated MY26 Defender, and the most prominent one is the introduction of two exclusive non-metallic colours - Sandglow Yellow, which pays homage to the classic Camel Trophy Defenders, or Keswick Green, which is inspired by Land Rover's deep-rooted British heritage and rural roots.
Both these colours will be broken up by gloss black detailing on the roof, wheel arches, brake callipers wheels, lower body and the centre portion of the bonnet. On the said bonnet, you'll find exclusive and body-coloured Trophy branding, as you would also on the c-pillars and the rear.
The Trophy Edition comes with a black deployable side-mounted roof ladder on its left and and a secured carrier on its right
2. Remarkably rugged-ready
Further differentiating itself from the regular Defenders are factory-fitted "equipment" that make it ready for challenging terrains.
For instance, the Trophy Edition model comes with a black deployable side-mounted roof ladder on its left and a secured carrier for what I would assume is for storing dirty items mounted on the right.
And as how a proper off-roader should be, the limited-run Defender is also equipped with a raised air intake on the left side of its a-pillar, a well-built black roof rack and classic mud flaps on all fours corners.
The interior of the Defender will match the exterior colour and it now comes with a 13.1-inch Pivi Pro system
3. Modern and masculine
On the inside, the updated Defender gets some trending improvements that make it more competitive with its peers. It now has a bigger and sharper 13.1-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system that's similar to the ones on its more luxurious Range Rover siblings. In there, a clear 3D surround camera is available for your utilisation - a feature that has proved itself useful when we were off-roading.
In terms of design, nothing much has changed but what you will get with the Trophy Edition is a cabin that matches the exterior colour, with Trophy branding all around.
4. Rumble with the number
I managed to spend an entire day with the updated Defender during my time in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and the variant I was piloting was a Defender D350, which is a 3.0-litre in-line six diesel-powered model that's good for 345bhp and 700Nm of torque. Unfortunately, this variant will not be coming to our market.
What will be available in Singapore, however, will be the P300e petrol plug-in hybrid. This variant has a 2.0-litre powerplant underneath the bonnet, which when combined with the electric motor powered by an onboard 19.2kWh battery, supplies 296bhp and 625Nm of twisting force to all four wheels.
This allows the Defender to complete the century sprint in just 7.6 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 191km/h. On paper, the plug-in hybrid Defender is good for 14.5km - 16.7km/L, which is impressive for a vehicle weighing over 2.5 tonnes.
5. Weapon of choice
The updated MY26 Defender is already available in Singapore for sale as we speak, while sources have confirmed that Singapore will just have an allocation of one unit of the Trophy Edition, available upon order.
Given a choice, if possible, the Trophy Edition in the lovely Sandglow Yellow is the one to have. It's made for buyers who want a proper off-road vehicle immediately without needing to source for aftermarket accessories, with several factory-fitted features available as standard.
Plus, it's just a way cooler-looking car that will not look out of place when parked beside cars like the Jeep Wrangler and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
