In an industry riddled with shady characters and dodgy business dealings, you'd be hard-pressed to find a trustworthy used car dealer like Cosmo Automobiles.

Trust is like glass. Once broken, it will never be the same again. The car buying industry has taken a hit recently, with several car dealers getting blacklisted by the Consumers Association of Singapore and going out of business for swindling their customers. However, not all of them are dodgy and most are honest in their business dealings. The question is, with over 800 used car dealers in Singapore, how do you know whom to trust?

This is the second year that Cosmo Automobiles has been awarded the Premium Dealer title

    Trust a Premium Dealer

One simple way is to visit an sgCarMart Premium Dealer such as Cosmo Automobiles. The Premium Dealer title is only awarded to dealers who have met a list of strict criteria, which includes a complaint-free record and five years of experience in the industry. With such criteria in place, you can rest assured that nothing shady goes on at Cosmo.

Transparency is key in this line of work

Above all else, Cosmo Automobiles offers peace of mind when it comes to buying a used car. The company makes a conscious effort to only deal with used cars that have passed an STA vehicle inspection.

Cosmo says that every car it brings in must first head over to the STA for an inspection. Only when the vehicle has passed the inspection will it be available for sale. Depending on the STA's evaluation, Cosmo will deliberate the appropriate price commensurate with the vehicle's condition and inform customers of any issues up front.

    What does Cosmo Automobiles offer?

Cosmo offers a wide range of Japanese and European cars in its lineup. With a steady demand for more popular Japanese cars, the company tries to stay away from bringing in more exotic cars for which demand isn't as high.

The company prides itself in offering reliable cars at competitive prices, as well as full transparency and comprehensive aftersales support. It endeavours to be a central point-of-contact for customers in search of services such as vehicle maintenance, insurance renewals and financial instalment payments.

Convenience is also something the company prides itself in. The Cosmo Automobiles website provides customers with immediate valuations of the cars they're looking to sell, as well as an extensive list of the company's current used car offerings. It also offers 24/7 instant messaging services for customers' enquiries and insurance quotations.

Cosmo's vehicle range includes Japanese as well as European cars
It is worth mentioning that Cosmo will be rolling out a mobile app this year called Cosmo Concierge. It will provide customers with a convenient means of getting in touch with the company for emergencies such as breakdowns and other vehicle related issues.

    Proof of the pudding

With a clean track record and the prestigious title of Premium Dealer bestowed upon it, you won't have to worry about shady dealings at Cosmo. Incorporated in 2008, Cosmo Automobiles started its operations out of a one-unit showroom at Turf City before expanding to Tagore Carmart and Amtech Building in 2011.

The company strives to provide a forthright and transparent business in an industry stigmatised as untrustworthy and endeavours to deal only with vehicles that have passed the STA's independent and expert assessments on vehicle safety. Cosmo Automobiles is located at 210 Turf Club Road Lot A16/A23 Car Mall @ The Grandstand Singapore (287995). It can be contacted at +65 6465 1090.
