David Brown Automotive reveals new Mini eMastered

Those looking for a classic Mini converted to run on electric power now have a new option to consider.

David Brown Automotive, British manufacturer of limited edition automobiles such as this Mini Remastered Marshall Edition, has revealed a new Mini eMastered.

The Mini eMastered can hit 100km/h from a standstill in just 8.5 seconds thanks to its 97bhp electric motor and low 640kg weight

As you might have guessed from such a name, this new offering brings local emissions-free, all-electric motoring to the classic Mini, alongside David Brown Automotive's world-leading expertise in bespoke luxury.

The converted Mini weighs in at just 640kg, and utilises a 97bhp electric motor that produces 175Nm of torque which allows it to complete the century sprint in just 8.5 seconds (That's actually faster than the 7.3 seconds that this MINI Electric will take to complete the same sprint). Top speed for the Mini eMastered is 149km/h.

The Mini eMastered gets a 177km WLTP range thanks to an 18.8kWh battery that can be charged at 6.6kW via an alternating current charger

Not as great as the MINI Electric, however, is the WLTP range of the Mini eMastered, which stands at only 177km thanks to its tiny 18.8kWh battery. Charging this battery can only be done via an alternating current charger and is capped at 6.6kW.
