Featuring a distinctive, sporty exterior design, a high-quality cabin, the flexibility of a three-row seating configuration, as well as Mazda's exciting 'Zoom- Zoom' driving dynamics, the all new Mazda CX-9 adopts the brand expression of Mazda's new generation 'KODO - Soul of Motion' design theme at the front and rear for an even sportier styling and stronger presence.

A hallmark of KODO Design is the signature wing that underscores the front grille. This, in combination with the front and rear bumpers and lights, which have been redesigned to express both power and movement, impart the vehicle with a sense of vitality and motion even when it is stationary.

The decoration panels are in a new colour as well - Bordeaux Metal. Combined with the exterior styling, the interior design of the new CX-9 emphasises the sporty and prestigious look and feel. The headlamps, grille, and Mazda badge have achieved a balance that offers an attractive, distinctive look that does not detract from the imposing character of the CX-9.

More notably, special attention was paid to the details. Models with High-Intensity-Discharge (HID) headlamps have LED DRLs with LEDs mounted in the upper part of the extended signature wings and a ring around the headlamp. The DRLs emit striking illumination to emphasise the vehicle's strong visual presence not only at night but also during the day.

On the inside, the sizeable SUV, which measures 5,096mm x 1,936mm x 1,728mm (L x W x H), offers the generous cabin space expected from a three-row SUV. Credit of the car's spaciousness also goes to the fact that it has a generous wheelbase of 2,875mm. In addition, high quality features and a wide range of equipment are also standout characteristics of the CX-9. More importantly, the three-row configuration provides comfortable seating and ample legroom for no fewer than 7 adults.

The CX-9's sports a MZI 3.7-litre V6 engine with six-speed automatic transmission. With a maximum power and torque of 274bhp at 6,250rpm and 367Nm at 4,250rpm respectively, the engine achieves superb linear acceleration combined with excellent performance. The six-speed automatic transmission offers a pleasingly sporty shift feel and linear response to accelerator inputs and there's also a manual shift mode for drivers who want to exercise more control.
