Opel has unveiled its new Rocks-e electric mobility solution.
The Opel Rocks-e is just 2,410mm long and 1,390mm wide, allowing it to be classified as a light motor vehicle in Germany. This means that teenagers as young as 15 years-old are allowed to drive it with only a two or three-wheeler driving licence.
The Rocks-e features Opel's new 'Vizor' front, which neatly integrates the car's LED head lights and indicators. As with the Citroen Ami, the front and rear body panels of the Opel Rocks-e are similar.
The same treatment has been applied to the doors of the car as well, so that while the passenger door swings forward as usual, the driver's door swings backwards in the opposite direction.
The Opel Rocks-e offers a range of up to 75km according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure cycle, and can be driven up to a top speed of 45km/h. 14-inch wheels and a turning circle of only 7.2m make the Rocks-e ideal for the city by allowing it to master tight corners and fit into small parking spaces.

Inside the Opel Rocks-e, the car's two seats are offset to each other so that the front passenger has comfortable legroom and the driver can move their seat lengthwise. Opel claims the car will offer ample headroom even for those approaching 1.9m in height.
The car's compact dimensions and large windows couple with a standard panoramic glass roof ensure good all-round visibility. A luggage volume of up to 63 litres is offered in the passenger footwell, which comes with a smart hook for an XXL-size shopping bag.
