Any metropolitan city grows as humanity is fast becomming more urban. Peugeot has understood this and created the Urban Crossover Concept (UCC) for new generations of city inhabitants. The UCC with a length of 4.14m and a width of 1.74m is a saloon, in the body of a compact SUV providing ample space in its class.
The UCC combines Peugeot's extensive knowledge in creating a small vehicle for young, city dwellers that not only live and work there but will find a reason to explore the outer areas as well. The metal 'smiling' grille, offers a bold outline, complementing a sophisticated dual-aspect treatment of the image of Peugeot's new badge. In profile, the smooth windscreen continues to roof leading to the spoiler, creating a very dynamic outline. The profile is lively, classy and dynamic.
The raised body and large wheels reveal the true multi-role qualities while also contributing to a car that is light and respectful of its environment. At the rear, the lamps are precisely embedded into the body, presenting a claw like pattern using LED technology. Finally, the aluminium spoiler and roof double bubble are inspired by the RCZ Sports Coupe.
The UCC will make its European debut at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012.
As Peugeot presented this concept in Beijing its sales performance in China is particularly strong. During the first quarter of 2012, Dong Feng Peugeot sold 54,587 cars, an increase of 28% compared to the same time frame from last year.
