Polestar to reveal three new models by 2024

Polestar has announced that it will become a publicly listed company.

The new public company will be named Polestar Automotive Holding U.K. Limited, and is expected to be listed on Nasdaq. The new firm is currently valued at approximately $27.12 billion.

The new move, Polestar states, will provide additional funding for the development of three new models by 2024.

These include the Polestar 3, an electric SUV with two-rows of seating and, based on the teaser images, quite the sloping roofline. Also slated for series production is the Precept - a design study vehicle released in 2020. The Precept is said to showcase the brand's future vision in terms of sustainability, digital technology and design. The firm also recently announced its important goal of creating a truly climate-neutral car by 2030.

Polestar currently has two award-winning electrified performance cars, the Polestar 1 and Polestar 2, currently on roads across Europe, North America and Asia. Polestar delivered approximately 10,000 vehicles in 2020 and expects to sell approximately 290,000 vehicles per year by 2025.
