The Rolls-Royce Ghost can now be had with a splash of colour

Rolls-Royce has unveiled a new Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism (catch our review of the regular Rolls-Royce Ghost here), which is said to draw inspiration from the world of design.
The car comes finished in dark, neutral tones, which are subtly accented with bold strokes of colour to create a timeless statement. It is precisely this contrast between the car's solid form and the added bright, spectral hues that inspired this Ghost Prism's name.
Customers of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism will be able to choose between four accent colours for the cabin of their car, which will also be used for their car's Starlight Headliner
Rolls-Royce states that the example featured in the photos comes finished in Gunmetal grey, produced via a 10-step process in which four layers of paint are meticulously applied, then polished by hand for 16 hours.
The car also comes with its front grille and rear-lid brightwork finished in a high-gloss Burnout, described as a smoked black-grey hue, instead of the more conventional stainless steel finish. Each of these pieces is said to be prepared by the marque's artisans via the application of a light abrasive to provide a 'key' for a hardwearing primer, onto which four coats of Burnout paint is then applied.
These pieces are then individually polished to ensure that they match the high-gloss brilliance of the motor car’s coachwork. The Ghost Prism also gets a deep gloss black front bumper and side profile brightwork.
Only 120 examples of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism will be made available, to mark the firm’s 120th anniversary this 2024.
Customers will be able to select from four accent colours including Phoenix Red, Turchese, Mandarin and Forge Yellow, to complement their chosen exterior colour. The accent finish appears on the car's lower bumper inserts, brake callipers and coachline. The selected colour also appears through the car's Bespoke Starlight Headliner, here comprising of 1,040 coloured 'stars'. The rest of the interior will be offered in a near-limitless number of bespoke colourways.
