BYD Atto 3 Electric
Value for money, but questionable durability
Had the opportunity to drive a one-year-old Atto 3 as a temporary replacement car for 2 weeks, and this is my experience with it. The car has plenty of soft materials that felt nice to the touch. Seats are cushy and comfy. Big infotainment screen gives the car a high-tech feel. Indeed, it has lots of tech features for the price that you pay. The drive and handling was fine, just don't expect much from this price range. Acceptable acceleration, body roll is quite obvious, but not to the point of losing control. However, I have doubts on the durability of the car. For the unit that I drove, the centre arm rest cushion has already flattened from regular arm-resting, leaving the leather wrap loose (imagine a blister). I suspect other cushy parts will have the same problem after years of regular usage. The wireless carplay is questionable too. There were two occasions where my carplay disconnected in the middle of the drive, and I lost the satnav. I had to exit to somewhere safe to set up my satnav again.... Read More

BYD M6 Electric
It's a cheap and value for money mpv
I have driven a car for 3 months now. on average per charge I get 350 to 380 km (most m6 drivers get this too). The WLTP range is fake of course but you shld know that by now. do note that there are hidden charges for driving an electric vehicle like Higher Road tax and mandatory $700 per year (in lieu of fuel surcharge). This car has been tuned down to CAT A so don't expect "instantaneous torque power" of EVs. If it's the first time you're driving an electric vehicle, you will like the feel of it, better than an ice car for sure. smoother. however for the m6 it has a high body roll issue and it can be really bumpy around speed bumps. Blue tooth connection to phone is fickle. Wireless charger is extremely slow and makes phone very hot. other than that it's quite a comfortable car. my previous vehicle was a Toyota Prius alpha seven seater and the m6 definitely more spacious. It's a value for money car, not much else. At the point of writing, The next cheapest 7 seater EV is the maxus 7 which you have to pay about 30+k more but seems more premium definitely.... Read More

Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
Underrated suv
The 2025 Hyundai Tucson AWD is underrated for offering a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen, over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay, and smart safety features—delivering premium tech at a fraction of luxury SUV prices. Tested the qashqai and cx5. This car reigned supreme that I would gladly pay for the price difference!... Read More

Aion V Electric
Car with features that beyond CatA
Looking for an EV car under CATA and found this car which have almost all the function which I wanted as compared it with the BYD Atto3, Omoda e5, and Nissan eKicks which is fall in the same price and CAT. It offers a spacious interior with a stunning cabin design with comfortable sofa seat and a seamless auto mode that performed excellently on drives. This car also comes with an impressive range of 480Km which is one of the longest in the CATA and fastest DC charge in 16 minutes delivers both efficiency and reliability. The internal feel is enhanced by features like a mini fridge, massage and ventilated front seats, and a moonroof that provides a beautiful panoramic view. Besides the door can be open almost 90 degree angle and the back seat can be push down with an angle of 137 degree that provide comfort for passengers.... Read More

Jaguar XF
Effortless grace meets dynamic confidence
In a segment dominated by German rivals, the XF continues to make a compelling case for those seeking understated elegance paired with engaging dynamics. This British executive saloon offers a unique blend of poise, performance and modern luxury that sets it apart in all the right ways. From behind the wheel, the XF impresses me with its composure and balance. It handles confidently even when pushed hard into corners, with body control that remains tight and composed without ever compromising ride comfort. The steering is precise and the chassis inspires confidence, making it more than just a luxury cruiser. In Dynamic Mode, the XF becomes genuinely spirited, delivering brisk acceleration and responsive handling that adds excitement to my daily drive. Switching to Comfort Mode, the XF shifts into a more relaxed and luxurious persona. Road imperfections are effortlessly ironed out and cabin insulation keeps the outside world at bay. It is a quiet and composed ride that makes my long journeys feel shorter and city traffic far more tolerable. One of XF's most enduring strengths is its effortlessly handsome design. With clean lines, a confident stance and that signature Jaguar front grille, the XF exudes presence whether it is pulling up to the carpark lot or cruising down the expressway. I caught myself turning back many a times for another glance at it after parking it. The latest Pivi Pro infotainment system is another highlight. Fast, fluid and user-friendly, the touchscreen offers crisp graphics and intuitive menus. Connectivity is seamless and the interface complements the XF's minimalist yet sophisticated interior design. While performance and luxury are where the XF shines, the 8-speed automatic transmission does exhibit a slight hesitation at lower speeds, particularly in stop-start traffic. It is a minor quibble but one that's noticeable in an otherwise smooth and well-tuned powertrain. I believe with the ZF transmission adapting to my driving profile in time to come, this should be ironed sooner rather than later. The 2023 Jaguar XF may not shout the loudest in the segment but it speaks to drivers who value refined performance, contemporary craftsmanship and a sense of individuality. It remains a compelling alternative for those who want their executive saloon to feel a little more special, be it on the move or at a standstill.... Read More

BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe
My Dream Car with Practicality, Balance and Style!
I had been eyeing this car since 2023 and was waiting for the chance to own it once I am back in SIngapore. My wait was all worth it when I saw the G26 facelifted MSport Pro version (red brake calipers, laser rear lights, MSport steering, etc). The sport kit made a lot of difference on the already good looking car. The driving experience is what you expect from the famous BMW inline 4 cylinder, rear wheel drive with 50/50 distribution car- simply sublime! The chassis gives me so much confidence that the car will perform very well, without any hesitation on safety and dynamics. Overall, I am very happy with owning this car. Makes me smile every time i get into the car and look forward to a wonderful drive in well planned and managed Singapore roads.... Read More

Aion Hyptec HT Electric
Enjoyable car to drive with a couple of quality issues to be sorted out.
Finally made the switch to an EV. Couple of areas that I watched out when buying a chinese EV car; the reliability of both the local distributor and car manufacturer. Both Vincar and Aion are brands that can be trusted. During the test drive and purchase, the sales rep (Lizhen, highly recommended) was helpful and patient. Post purchase, she ensured that all my concerns were addressed and replied timely every time. Purchased the car as I fell in love with it during the test drive and have owned it for a month (as of this review). Overall, the car is enjoyable to drive though there are a couple of quality issues to be sorted out (internal resonating sound).... Read More

Cupra Born Electric
New to EV Ownership
Been living the Born VZ for close to a month now and couldn't be happier! The car accelerates effortlessly off the line, even with 3 passengers + 1 driver. There is more than enough leg room for the front and rear 2 passengers. The front Sabelt (Fabric) seats really hold you around corners and bears some resemblance to the seats in Audi RS models. On energy consumption, I'm getting closer to 7.5km/kWh and can go as high as 9.5 km/kWh, not sure if this is because the car is new. The steering controls do get in the way but does not affect me that much. To save battery on my phone, i sometimes switch between bluetooth connectivity and Apple carplay and the infotainment does that easily without lagging or hanging. My car options do not include seat ventilation, rear air-conditioning, HUD and Navigation so something to consider if those matter.... Read More

Aion V Electric
Value for Money Yet One of The Best SUVs In The Market
I have driven the Aion V for more than a month now. The engine is responsive and perky with very good acceleration. Electric consumption is really individual, depending on your heavy foot on the accelerator. The rear seat is extremely spacious but not without a tradeoff, the boot space. My kiddos mentioned it's like seating on a plane, very quiet and comfortable. One thing I like about this SUV is the independent suspension which is very smooth when giving over humps or uneven ground. I decided to buy the Aion V after comparing to Omoda E5, Volvo EX30, BYD Atto3, Sealion and Skyworth K. Aion V is my personal overall winner in terms of ride handling, comfortability, price competitiveness and interiors. No regrets ever, bettering my previous French ride by more than a mile!...
