Mazda RX-8 (Parallel Imported)

RX8 is the type of sports car for people who likes handling and the looks of a coupe. Basically, it's fun and practical RWD coupe. Fun: It is well-known for its handling abilities and a great chasis. Top Gear and other car programmes/magazines had sung a few praises on this car. Plus, it's RWD coupe. You can add a bodykit with spoiler or GT wing to make it look sportier or more aggressive. Practical: It can sit 4 adults comfortably and its boot space is big enough. Its power is not too much or overwhelming for one to handle/control and offers a more comfortable ride. If you're a person who only craves for power or 0-100 timing, then this car is certainly not for you. Go get a GTR, Evo or super bike... but if you prefer a more 'softcore' sports car with great handling and fun driving, then it is a good choice to consider. I have been driving the FL RX8 for about 3 months and it's a real enjoyment. It has cool looks (well can be subjective), smooth acceleration and great handling abilities for this car. But, its lack of torque at low ends has been questioned by many for a sports car but honestly, I feel its stock power is decent enough for a NA car and more than enough on spore roads. Plus, its power coming in at high revs and the unique sound of Rotary engine can be addicitive to some. It wasn't designed to be a pure track car (like CTR) or a powerful GT car (350z oe 370z). It's a more of a practical day-to-day sports coupe with great fun for the drivers, more so if you drive it on winding roads. Regular maintainence will be sufficient to keep this little car running for quite some time. Rotary engine is not as bad as some made out to be. Just have to know how it works and how to take care of it. Do that properly and RX8 will repay you with hours of fun driving.... Read More
