Underrated.

Production has long since stopped. I have been driving the 2.0 Epica LT version since 2009 and it's 2018 now. Never had a spot of trouble. I've clocked 220Km so far and it's as smooth as the day I received it. It lacks low end torque even though its an in-line 6.

Cheap and Good yet Powerful

Just bought a 2.5 Chevy Epica with Sunroof. Previously own Audi A6 2.4, Cefiro 230JM, Civic ESi, Cerato, Ford Laser, NX Coupe. Wouldn't denied Epica is one of the more powerful car other than Audi. I like the outlook for the Epica, but a bit lose out to Audi in the interior but still alright.

But what i like most is the Sunroof, i have been aiming for a sunroof for 3 - 4 years, but everytime i change mostly dun have sunroof. Old cars always difficult unless pay more lor.. Haha.. But paying much more than you install yourself..

What i like most is because of the low resale value, that's why i got it cheap. Too bad to those who bought new but at least you enjoy smelling the new leather and no risk of worrying the car would spoilt as got warranty.

I downgrade from my 06 Audi and fully paid my near 08 Epica and still got balance and no need to pay instalment liao.. Haha.. Depreciation is only half of Audi, Performance same, Comfort wise, I think Epica wins, Handling Epica lose a bit.

F/C, i think Epica should wins as my Audi, i'm getting only 7 - 9km/Litre. 9 is mostly Expressway.

2010 EPICA standard drops

Review

Please do not buy the over-priced epica 2010. All the features are taken away.

No electric seat

No automatic folding mirror

No System idicator

No Climate Air-condition

No Cruise control

No Audio Control on the steering

No Auto headlight

If you're looking for an epica, it is better for you to buy a second hand one with all features in it. The new epica is just a standard car as compared to the 2008 & 2009 models.

Aww. I love this EPICA! It's simply too amazing. I feel sorry for those who bought it in 2010 because most of the accessories and parts were taken out. LOL

Parts like the climate control systems, cruise control, audio control, electric seat, folding mirror, digital climate system were taken out. Unlike the 2008 and 2009 version.

Got my Epica late July... have been "monitoring" it since '07 after the first test drive. Could not make the cross over since my old ride had a huge deficit then. Finally got it after worrying with the COE for three bids. Current FC is 10kml.

Most underrated car in its class

This car is amazing. It is cheaper than its competitors, yet provides excellent comfort, power, and feel. A six-cylinder, six-speed gear box offers unbelievable economy. My dad managed to get it to go 6.7l/100km on the ECP. Styling with the bodykit is perfect. I would recommend anyone buying this car to go for the body kit. It looks more like a continental car with it, and looks quite bad without it.

Hunt for a Cat B 2.0litre vehicle. Go & tested the Epica & signed for it.

Collected my ride on 7-03-09. Never regret & love it more. Comfort, responsive, many feature which other class may not have, FC will review later when done in Malaysia.

Cruising is fast. Accelerate less than a quarter on the pad, it reached 120km/h. Stable and cool.

Luxury car with many functions. Really big and spacious. It is really awesome! Everything's is good. It looks like BMW 520IA. Interior wise its luxury. I think Epica is the American 5 series.

Best Performance for this Price Range

The Epica is probably the best value money sedan in its price range. It is bigger and roomier than most sedans in this budget range such as the Nissan Sylphy. It matches the Camry in size, but is smoother and quieter than a Camry and the Nissan Cefiro. I bought it because it is one of the quietest cars I have sat in. You would probably need to pay for an Audi, Lexus or Mercedes to get the same insulation. I had test driven many other cars before buying this one. I have previously driven and owned BMW 5 series, Mercedes, and VW sedans.

Most value for money car I have owed

The epica engine performance is great with its 24V 6 cylinder engine. It is even quieter than the toyota camry. From the front headlights,it really resembles a BMW 5 SERIES. However, the only flaw is its handling which I find it to be rather flimsy. The steering is non communicative and tend to oversteer when cornering. Other than that, it is a great luxury sedan for those who are planning to upgrade to a 2L sedan.
