The Epica Diesel is the latest addition to the Epica range in Singapore, which also received recent updates for the petrol models. With its diesel engine, it boasts a low fuel consumption rating of 7.4 l/100km, or about 13.5 km/l. Chevrolet also claims that internal tests conducted by them found that their diesel variants consumed up to 40 percent less fuel than petrol ones for the same distance.
To further entice Singaporeans, many of whom shy away because of the relevant non-gasoline taxes here, Chevrolet is offering a 50 percent subsidy on the diesel tax for the first three years.
The Captiva Diesel is priced at $89,200, while those for the Epical Diesel have yet to be announced.
