Tired of saloon car, previouly driving a vios.
Wanted to change MVP or SUV. So decided to buy Honda Freed.
Last Friday, Just collected my Honda Freed.
For 1.5L engine, Honda Freed is not under power.
Smooth and quiet driving. (Sound proof) better than my old car.
Like the Automatic climate control aircon, Knockdown rear seats, flat floorplan,
Left power-sliding door. Wasted Right side no power -sliding door.
(But ok, can different between make in Japan or make in indonesia).
Breaking ok. Respone well.
Suspension slightly abit hard. When travellig fast tend to be bouncy.
Overall very happy with this car.
Hopefully can see move Freed on the road.
U will love it too.

I have been driving for 2 weeks Honda Freed GL7, it not as under power as some say, in fact i felt it push towards acceleration.
Brake is pretty effective and responsive. road handling is not so bad but the steering is "light" so please handle with care.
Maybe because of its height, car tends to be bouncy when travelling fast.
Overall, engine is smooth and silent when on the move, pick up might be abit slow but at most by 2sec, the car will pick off fast. fuel consumption is pretty decent for a "MPV" able to achieve 1st full tank of 563km for 42litres of petrol pump. note that fuel is almost empty when collecting car only enough to move to nearest petrol kisok to filled up.

After tested models like Wish, Stream, Sienta, I chose Freed (8 seater version) finally due to quite a number of reasons:

Test drive Freed GL 1.5A yesterday. My wife and 3 children like the ride. test driven with 3adult and 3child pax. Spacious interior.Smooth handling. we set the aircon at level 2 but able to cool down the third row on mid hot afternoon. I had pressed down the throttle to test the engine capability along Old Airport Rd and thinks that the Pick-up is a bit slow but smooth gear transmission make the ride comfortable.
A good car for a MPV starter, and a reliable people mover.

After test drive the 5 Speed Honda Freed, I decide to to purchase the CVT version Honda Freed for my Family.
I prefer CVT version as its really promise you a very smooth drive, the passengers totally could not feel any gear shifting and enjoy their ride comfortably and best of all, fall to sleep comfortably with long distance travel.
If you are smooth and steady driver, CVT version is best option. We might think that CVT is slow in pick up, but after you drive it you will be suprise that it is not slow at all. The 118bhp really push the car well enough even with full load of 7 adults, amazing!
With Periodic maintenance, I had the confident that CVT version will run as well as 5 Speed version.
Last but not least, I had run my new car for more than 2 months and we are very satisfy for its performance and the enjoyment brought to my whole family. The right car, the right value, low maintenance cost and running cost are the success of this vehicle. As you can notice that more and more Honda Freed running on the road today.

The interior space is very small. With a driver of frame 1.78m at the wheels, the passengers at the 3rd row will find that they have not much space. Going in and out of the 3rd row is difficult, the chairs at the 2nd row does not move forward much, unless you push the 1st row seat right to the front. Or one can wallk through the tight aisle between the 2nd seats to get to the 3rd row. At $85500, the Freed is much expensive than an ex-stock Stream! Indeed, it is the most overpriced car ever.

I had test drive my long waiting Honda Freed 1.5EX model. To my suprise, Honda make this Mini MPV with a lot of details thought and consideration, the car is easy to drive especially for lady driver, in out of narrow car park will be peace of mind with sharp handling feel on the steering, as well as broad viewing. The 5 speed automatic gear box is smooth and hardly feel the gear is shiftting. The power is enough for urban usage even when carrying full load, this is family MPV car and we could not expect it will run like Honda Stream RSZ. The cabin is spacious and extremely quiet, suprising good! Twin electric sliding doors are the added features that could found only on Big MPV like Mazda 5 & Toyota Alphard etc. Altough, there is limited lauggage space but it is enough for normal usage when carrying 7 passengers. The best feature is its very low fuel consumption, factory claim 16.4Km/L which I think it is possible if you are not driving it as F1 car.

Space wise nothing to shout about, looks weird with semi boxy sport design but really underpowered 1.5cc engine to ferry 8 pax in the real world but price still never justify the car itself even if its made in japan touching $70k for PI and $80k from agent its not affordable besides that u can get other better MPV around tat price range.

Went by Kah Motors at Leng Kee and saw the launch of this Freed.
Tested it. looks is pretty much same compared to PI ones.
Had a touch screen player but looks no difference to me with PI models.
Interior and exterior is the same as PI, not much difference, nothing that outshines against PI models.
According to info from the salesperson, its the same engine as PI version only with some additional features.
Overall drive is ok, nothing much to shout about. Probably will be draggy like PI model if it has more loads as its due to a 1.5L engine only.
