An Almost Perfect Car
consumer review icon image
Review

e.Mas 7 is my first EV car, so these are my personal thoughts from a ICE driver.

This is an almost perfect car. It offers a smooth and comfortable ride. The audio system comprising of 14 speakers are excellent. The last 2 speakers on the headrest are for phone calls and Siri (if you are using wireless CarPlay). There are plenty of storage places, typical of all EVs nowadays. Other features worth mentioning: head up display, ventilated seats, large screen, wireless CarPlay, memory seats for driver, power tailgate.

But the biggest let down is the Flyme Auto Operating System. Each time when I enter the car, I have to engage to Drive, then turn off the lane keep assist, off the speed warning, and switch to Auto regen. Once you power down the car, all these settings are back to default values.

Furthermore, when the car is below 30km/h, it emits an ice cream van music to warn pedestrians. There is NO option to turn this off. The music just drives me mad.

If you watch the YouTube reviews of eMas 7 in Malaysia, the ice cream van music is the biggest compliant of all Malaysian drivers. For them, they have the option now to turn it off after the OS update. But it seems that this feature is not available for SG owners.

So, all new buyers who are thinking of getting eMas 7 or 5, besides test driving the car, please try the OS for a few minutes. Adjust your settings, power off the car, and check whether your settings are saved. If not, this means you have adjust your preferred settings every time before you drive for the next 365 days a year.

If VINCAR is reading this, please fixed the Flyme Auto OS!!!

The Proton Emas7 Suprise!

Review

Firstly, I was looking for other EV and was looking at the BYD Atto3, Aion Y, Omoda E5, then the sales representative introduced me the Proton Emas7 Premium, He told me I should have a look at this car before making my decision.

My Last Car was a Mercedes C200 AMG Line ...

And My goodness, the moment go into the Emas7, I was surprised by it's interior, great comfortable space, leather feels premium, the led light looks expensive, and the sound system made many high end car to shame.

The moment I drove it, I'm sold..love the acceleration as it feels like the Benz, where there is a gradual consistent rush of power yet so send feel like a jet trust..stable and drive is really smooth and quiet across uneven road.but the absorber is a little soft..

But who cares..I was already sold and got my emas7..10yr battery and service. Emergency roadside towing in SG n MY..I must say, it's a very practical car..with a touch of comfort

Try to believe!
