Test driven both C180s, the one before the intro of the 1600cc model and the 1600cc model.
Exterior
I like the sporty AVANTGARDE version. Or any version of it. haha.. What's there not to like abt a Mercs.
Interior
Clean lines, luxury features, comfort, choice of premium finishes to it. good. Space is decent enough for a mid range luxury sedan. Better than beemer.. keke.. Beemer is a tact too... common. nothing luxury but decent.
Drive
Drive is nothing to shout about. Its what u would expect from a mercs, anything less and it's an insult. Do like the choice of drive, think is comfort, sports and auto. It's quite responsive during sports mode. It's better than i expected.
Overall
I understand that maintenance of a mercedes is rather reasonable. And not much of technical issues regarding to it. So.. I would say its a buy, but abit too ex.. keke

C180K - Best in the price range `
|
|
Great car. Getting to like it more day by day. Did not feel it initially during test drive. However, this C180K Blue Eff Model W204 has CD changer with MP3 capabilities and Aux in. Tech Spec better than those in the $150-170k range: BMW320i, VolvoS40, Honda Accord 2.4, Nissan Teanna 2.4. LexusI250 & Audi4 have better specs but higher price, then you get the C200 CGI to compare.

Just traded in the 320i to the C180K. Collected the C180K last week and owned the 320i below that for 26 months.
Initially, I prefer the handling and the feel of the steering of the 320i and I am slowly being converted. I am begining to prefer the C180K.
Both cars have their Pros and Cons. At my age, the C180K is growing on me. I still miss the "sporty-ness" of the 320i but the comfort and overall offering of the C180K is winning me over.
Both cars have the same power output of 156 BHP but the 320i seems to be more responsive and less noisy when pushed.
If both the 320i and C180K are selling at the same price, my vote goes to the C180K.

C180 Kompressor BlueEfficiency - Registered in 2010 (1.6) `
|
|
Took delivery of this car in 2010 from C&C and this is seriously a car you should be considering to own one after you take time to test drive.
For a 1.6 litre engine, and comapring with BMW, AUDI and VW of German Marques, there is nothing close to drivability, fuel consumption and pick up.
The Agility Supension Control is truly a quantum leap ahead of other competitors.
For those current owners, Use SHELL 98RON and pump the COLD tyre pressure to 32PSI (Front) and 33PSI (Rear) to achieve full potential performance of this machine. The Germans are that precise when it comes to tyre and fuel characteristics otherwise you will not be experiencing my description as above. (Even the demo cars in C&C)
