Car Review - Honda HR-V 1.5 DX (A)
Does this new Honda HR-V crossover have what it takes to win the hearts and minds of Singaporeans like its predecessor did?
What We Dislike
Headroom can be lacking for rear passengers
Needs more power
The HRV vs Vezel, Which is MORE worthy ?
Went by Kah Motors to catch a glimpse of this newbie, in comparison to his immediate different name but comes almost all the same, Vezel. There is a DX (Base model) and LX (slightly better gadgets) from the agent. First looks, exterior has a new finish front and back, front is close to BMW design grill while back seems close to Porsche series. Interior, typical and practical with a new touch screen and factory fitted rear aircon blower too. Seats at the back folds upwards taken from their Jazz idea. Electric handbrake is same as previous model and now comes with hill start assist too. Electric tailgate is in LX and eHEV variant as according to agent SE. Honda Sensing is standard across all variants. Dashboard comes with standard meter dials, while LX and eHEV has digital ones. All systems like the Speed dials and Audio system are in English, than the rival in Japanese. Auto headlight and rain sensor too in DX and eHEV. The drive, moving off is radically smooth with no jerking when you tap on the throttle. Gear change is also smooth and soundless. Only drawback is lack of power to this heavier vehicle which could perform better if paired with 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine. Parking was a breeze but did not come with IPAS, otherwise is easy to park for this wider car. Overall, its a good day to day SUV to have if you do not mind the lack of power and value for money to get for a new look, new features SUV. And if you want factory fitted than local 3rd party fitted to go for, then this tor kor car is the one for you.

New look and new drive comfort for the HR-V
The Honda HR-V is back, with a new look that can divide. I think the rear looks sharp and handsome, but that front, with the air-conditioning unit-like grille, will take some getting used to.
