IM6 honest review
Exterior - Styling is nice from the front, futuristic looking, some angles like the earlier model 3. Side view, ok - if they remove that plastic thing from the side and do some body sculpting will look better. Rear is alright, but after looking at it more, not the best view.
Interior - sooooooooo comfortable. sooo silent. The noise cancelling speakers are doing a fantastic job.
ambient lighting is muted and only at the front. so if you like your colorful interiors, you will be disappointed.
there is loads and loads of leg room so wow.
the Mag accessories abit gimmicky as the magnets don't feel secure. Screen is a wow factor, however since the controls are all on the lower center screen, not very intuitive as you have to glance down.
1 very important factor!!! rear view mirror. It is practically NON-Existent... however you can scroll up and bring up the digital rear view mirror. Strangely only can set a max of 2min? iirc.. very strange. why not just implement a digital rear view mirror.
The Drive - comfortable, quiet, didnt feel all the potholes and bumps.
Amazing turning radius. Those of you who fear u-turns. this car is for you.
however i drove the entry level model and 11.6sec 0-100 really feels slow.. May want to up to the mid tier model. but my wallet cannot take the road tax.
Features - nothing to shout about except for the screen, the new IX3 has 1 upped the IM6 now though.
front passenger no massage, no fridge, no sun roof shade. Since i test drove the SL7 and V and the G6 before this, feature wise it is lacking.... Read More
Sleek Coupe SUV that is surprisingly refined
I wasn't expecting much as online reviews were mixed, and SGCarMart reviews were generally bad.
Went down to the showroom and the experience is totally different from the reviews online. The IM6 is an extremely well built coupe SUV. The interior is filled with luxury material and the dashboard is fully wrapped with leather that screams premium. Similarly priced competitors EV do not have this level of luxury. Was expecting a mundane boring test drive but delighted to find it engaging and refined instead. The steering and drive sits between the Model Y and the G6, yet more comfortable and classy....
