Getting the right balance!
The Mazda 6e is a well-designed car throughout, in both form and function. It achieves a good balance between a comfortable ride and great car handling. Acceleration should be more than enough for most drivers without going at blistering speeds. The Mazda 6e still retains some practical ergonomics and not totally devoid of traditional user interface. No regrets waiting for this car to arrive.... Read More
Upgraded from Mazda 3 to Mazda 6e: Zero Regrets, Pure Mazda Driving Dynamics
I honestly did not expect to buy the Mazda 6e when shopping around, but making the transition from my Mazda 3 has turned out to be a fantastic move with zero regrets so far. Mazda has built a genuinely serious EV that holds its own. โ€‹Visually, the car is an absolute head-turner. In a sea of BYDs and Teslas on Singapore roads, the 6e stands out immediately with its aggressive body lines, unique liftback silhouette, and sporty deployable rear spoiler (which can pop up automatically at speed or be left open manually). โ€‹Behind the wheel, the car felt instantly familiar. Despite some online reviews labeling it a rebadged joint-venture platform, the trademark Mazda driving dynamics are undeniably present. The chassis feels planted, the steering is communicative, and it drives with the same engaging DNA as my old Mazda 3, only now paired with instant electric torque that makes overtakes and zipping through expressway traffic effortless. โ€‹Inside, the cabin is airy and spacious, complemented by beautiful exterior color options (Machine Grey for me) and plush brown Nappa leather seats. The audio system sounds great once you spend a few minutes tuning the equalizer. On top of that, the efficiency is exceptional: I regularly clock 11+ kWh / 100 km, which is top-tier real-world economy for a fastback of this size. โ€‹The only small gripe is that the infotainment interface has a few wonky software quirks, but these seem like minor kinks that can easily be ironed out with future firmware updates. โ€‹Overall, this is an easy 5-star EV. If you are an existing Mazda owner or just looking for something with actual driving character, definitely take it out for a test drive to feel the difference yourself.... Read More
