All new Range Rover Evoque to have first 48V hybrid system

There isn't a lot of difference on the outside of the all new Range Rover Evoque. The overall shape remains the same, with the large windshield tapering down to a barely perceptible rear windshield while the roof and hood remain mostly unchanged.
On the front, there's now a new grille, new head lights, new bumper, and new side air intakes that completely transform the front fascia. The flanks of the Evoque are completely new too, with flush door handles and fewer lines to bulk out the baby SUV. A the back, the taillights have seen a redesign that connects each end with a big black bar.
Still, the big news is all under the hood. The new Evoque features a 48V mild hybrid powertrain that connects a belt-integrated starter generator to the engine to harvest waste energy. Whenever the Evoque brakes it'll turn that waste heat and friction into power that it can store in the floor-mounted battery.
With the 2.0-litre turbo Ingenium four-cylinder pumping out 246bhp, the hybrid motor kicks out another 50 horses for a combined 296bhp.
To make room for the 48V system, Land Rover developed a new architecture for the Evoque - this is the company's first 48V-equipped car after all. The wheelbase is stretched a bit, which translates to a little more room inside the crossover.
On the inside of the cabin, things are even more spectacularly new. The entire centre console has been swapped out for a single enormous touchscreen that tilts outward so the driver can get a better view while driving. The instrument cluster is now a single enormous screen that displays all pertinent driver into.
