Lunaz has presented Brooklyn and Nicola Beckham, son and daughter-in-law of Football Star David Beckham respectively, with an all-electric Jaguar XK140.
The car was gifted by David Beckham to his eldest child as a wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, U.S.A.
The converted XK140 sports a cream interior, alongside the original car's dials and instrumentation, converted for the new electric drivetrain The converted classic car is a bespoke vehicle, commissioned by Beckham and the product of thousands of hours of work from the Lunaz's 120-strong team of craftspeople, designers and electric vehicle technicians. The converted classic was built entirely in-house in Silverstone, U.K.
The exterior of the car is finished in a light blue, the name of which said to have been kept confidential at the request of the car's client, while the interior is finished in a light cream.
Here, the dial and switches of the car have been faithfully retained but also updated to provide information on the battery level and to operate contemporary functions. The converted car also gets uprated brakes, suspension and steering, allowing it to be driven and enjoyed every day.
David Beckham first announced that he was investing in Lunaz in 2021, and since then, the firm has grown its workforce by as much as 200%. Lunaz plans to establish the U.K.'s largest remanufacturing and electrification facility adjacent to its current home on the Silverstone Technology Park, a move which it states, will make it the largest company within the globally renowned Silverstone Technology Cluster when measured by space and number of employees.
