  • KAMM launches Porsche 912c restomod

KAMM Manufaktur, a new brand which hails from Budapest, has created the KAMM 912c, a modern take on the classic Porsche sports car.

Just when you thought the world has seen enough restomod versions of classic Porsches, a company from Budapest builds another one. However, we are not complaining, as KAMM Manufaktur seems to have created a pretty neat restomod out of the legendary Porsche 912.

Founded by Miklos Kazmer in Budapest, Hungary, the KAMM brand focuses solely on the 912 which was produced between 1965 and 1969.

The pure, unadultered lines of the 912c can teach a lesson or two to modern day car design
Renowned for being the lightest of all the road-going 911/912s, but with a better balance than a typical 911, the 912 may not have ben an obvious choice for a restomod. However, its slim, simple lines, outstanding handling and iconic 4-cylinder engine makes the 912 the perfect choice for a KAMM creation.

Taking an original 912, KAMM engineers restore every donor car to perfection, providing the perfect basis for a bespoke creation. Steel is replaced with carbon, seamlessly blended without trace, ensuring flawless fit and finish.

Then, KAMM engineers enhance the chassis, brakes suspension, wheels and tyres and replace all original elements with brand new, factory parts including lights, fixings, and rubbers.

Aircooled engine is swiss-made and produces 170bhp from four cylinders
Swiss air-cooled experts at JPS Aircooled assist with the creation of a bespoke, high-performance, 169bhp, four-cylinder engine. Said engine provides the best in reliability combined with exemplary performance, helped by a kerb weight of less than 750kg

Finally, bespoke paint finishes and interior redesign completes the transformation before a thorough evaluation by KAMM Founder Miklos Kazmer to ensure every 912c is worthy of the KAMM name ahead of client delivery.
