Citroen is expanding the DS line with the new DS4 racing concept, scheduled to be unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show. As with its stablemate the DS3 racing, the DS4R underwent transformation at the firm’s motorsports department, which is responsible for its WRC-winning rally cars.
The DS4R concept sports components fabricated from carbon-fibre, such as the air diffuser, front splitter and wheel arch extensions. The race-tuned 1.6-litre turbo engine now churns out 256hp, yet emitting just 155g of CO2 per km. The chassis now sits 35mm closer to the ground, with tracks widened by 55mm and 75mm at the front and rear respectively. Stopping power is enhanced by four-piston calipers at the front with 380mm discs.
Completing the package is a textured matt grey finish which accentuates the lines of the car, coupled with two-tone roof and alloys.
