It seems that the flagship supercar from Jaguar will not make it after all. Citing the trend of tightening expenditure measures around the globe, the marque has announced its decision to put off production plans for the C-X75.

Jaguar has however left a glimpse of hope for fans of its stillborn C-X75 project - a total of five working examples will be completed, with a high possibility that three of which will make it to the auction house. Sounds like a cue to start saving up.

A quick recap - the C-X75 was meant to be a technical de force. Packing a twin-charged 1.6-litre four pot engine, and coupled with two electric motors, the supercar was capable of churning out a combined 500bhp, sent to all four wheels. Just as stunning is the carbon fibre chassis, which was co-developed with the Williams F1 team.
