Renault has strengthened its position in the European electric car market with the E-tech range. The Megane E-tech Electric has already registered more than 37,000 orders since its launch in the first half of 2022, of which 75% are of the higher trim levels while 85% have the most powerful engine.
The hybrid range, consisting of the Clio, Captur, Arkana and Megane, grew by 34% compared to the third quarter of 2021.
The A110 saw strong sales at the beginning of 2022 The budget arm of Renault, Dacia, continues to enjoy strong success driven by its best selling sales to customers in Europe. The Sandero remains the best selling vehicle to retail customers in Europe, with Duster sales reaching two million sales since its launch.
Alpine, makers of the highly regarded A110 sports car, has been very successful with orders up 68% since the beginning of the year, of which 78% are of higher trim models. Alpine claims that the 100 units of the A110 Jean Redele edition and the first 110 units of the A110 R were all reserved in less than two hours.
As a whole, the Renault Group has seen an increase of revenue go up by 20.5% compared to the third quarter of last year, to $13.6 billion.
