Peugeot has revealed a new gear selector, set to go into the 208 and 2008, alongside their all-electric variants.
The new gear selector is said to free up additional space in the centre console, complementing the design-driven layout of the firm's i-Cockpit. It makes use of materials from satin chrome, and a piano black plastic, and offers up a carbon-look finish for the wrist rest.
This new control allows the different modes to be selected, while a remote button will allow the car to be put into park mode, and another will set the gearbox into its manual mode, allowing drivers to manually select the gear engaged using the paddles located behind the steering wheel.
This manual button is replaced with the brake button on the electric variants, activating increased regenerative braking.
