A white Toyota sedan and a container truck sustained damages after a tree - located on the road outside Tan Boon Liat building, along Outram Road - fell yesterday morning, reported The Straits Times.
Neither driver was injured although the impact of the tree fall caused the roof of the truck to cave in and shatter its windscreen.
The truck driver told the English daily, he stopped his vehicle after he felt the tree hit the roof and managed to climb out. The Toyota, which was on the middle of the three-lane road, suffered a cracked windscreen in addition to scratches on its bonnet.
