Good three series alternative
With the IS, you get, for the same money, a better engine than the base 320 with more displacement and more cylinders. I am not saying the IS is better than a bmw 325 but to me it is more value for money than a 320.
Reliability is top notch and in 4.5 years the only problem was the air con vents got blocked by leaves which is not a technical fault. Servicing costs are not prohibitive .
Rear space is very poor so check this out if you are above average height .
The car is really quiet, smooth though there is some road noise on rough surfaces .
Some people denigrate Lexus as just a hyped up Jap car but before you plumo for a compact exec you should really try this car before deciding.
personally between my old bmw 2.2 and the Lexus I would choose the latter for the better engine and less costly ownership. If you are driving enthusiast who must have the best handling car and can afford a bmw 325 and above, then get the three series.... Read More
