Volvo will be releasing a 1,927-unit limited 'First Edition' for its all new XC90 that recently made its web debut. The individually numbered XC90s celebrate the year Volvo was founded and for the first time in history, will only be available for sale (not for Singapore's market) via the automaker's website on the 3rd of September, 3:00pm GMT (11:00pm local time).
The SUV is powered by a high-performance diesel engine from Volvo's new four-cylinder Drive-E powertrains.
The D5 twin turbo diesel engine contains 225bhp and 470Nm of torque and is married to a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission.
An electronically controlled air suspension has a choice of five modes - including one which can be tailored by the driver to his or her personal taste.
The Onyx Black exterior and eight-spoke, 21-inch Inscription alloy wheels are highlighted by an interior featuring Nappa leather seats in Amber, a Charcoal leather dashboard and Linear Walnut inlays. The power-operated front seats are equipped with ventilation while the outer seats in the second row have heating. The two third row seats are power-operated as well.
The recommended retail price for the single specification First Edition is £68,000 (S$140,639) and this online-only model is just one example of Volvo Cars' revitalised approach to marketing activities and outstanding personal service.
