More than 60 models from BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad, including five concept vehicles were on display at BMW World 2014.

Headlining the three-day event was the launch of BMW i, comprising the BMW i3 all-electric vehicle and the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid supercar. Sales of the BMW i3 begin from $229,800, while the BMW i8 is only due for delivery in the fourth quarter of this year.
Visitors also had the chance to ride in the i3 around the event hall with a guided tour to find out more about how the i3 with eDrive redefines sustainable mobility.
Head of Government Affairs at BMW Group, Glenn Schmidt, claimed that it is important for a country to have the right infrastructure to fully support electric vehicles. One such country is Norway, where there is no registration tax, value added tax (VAT) and toll on electric vehicles. In addition, these vehicles also enjoy exclusive parking spaces, free charging as well as free usage of bus lanes. Daniel Mayerle, Interior Designer for BMW i8, was also there to share his design philosophy.
Also making their debuts at BMW World 2014 were the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and the new X4 Sports Activity Coupe. Prices start from $312,800 for the 435i Gran Coupe M Sport and $328,800 for the X4 xDrive35i. All prices are inclusive of COE and correct as at press time.

Other stars at the showcase included the new BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, as well as the 2 Series Active Tourer and a range of BMW Motorrad bikes.
Two new concepts from MINI also made their Asian debuts at the show. Underlining MINI's rich British heritage, the MINI John Cooper Works Concept and the more versatile and practical Clubman Concept were on display.
Not forgetting the younger visitors, there were activities catered for them too, such as a Kids' Colouring Contest and a Baby Racer Race.
