Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore Pte Ltd marked its 16th anniversary at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort and Spa on 9th April 2017. In conjunction with its celebrations, Bridgestone also launched the Alenza - its flagship tyre lineup designed exclusively for Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs).
Sales of SUVs are predicted to increase globally. In the Asia Pacific region, this trend - coupled with a shift from durable-type SUVs to sophisticated and diversified types - has prompted Bridgestone to introduce the Alenza to meet the needs of this segment of drivers.
The Alenza will expand Bridgestone's portfolio of products and is aimed at positioning the company to capture the growing SUV market segment within the China and Asia Pacific region.
"According to the Land Transport Authority's latest data, 31 percent of newly registered vehicles are comprised of SUVs. The introduction of the Alenza 001 exemplifies Bridgestone's commitment in creating a better driving experience for SUV drivers," shared Mr. Michael Tan, Managing Director of Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore Pte Ltd.
The celebrations saw the attendance of close dealers and partners of Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore Pte Ltd, subsidiary of the world's largest tyre and rubber company Bridgestone Corporation. Also present at the event were representatives from the Breast Cancer Foundation, Bridgestone's beneficiary for its corporate social responsibility campaign - the Bridgestone Pink Valve Cap Donation Drive - which raised $25,606.80.
Mr. Tan took the opportunity to address the company's plans for the future and thanked Bridgestone's dealers and partners for their continued support over the years.
He also presented his staff with long service awards and several dealers with top achiever awards. Guests were entertained by a lively emcee, engaging performances, lucky draws and activities, which culminated in the unveiling of the Alenza 001 with a spectacular sand art performance.
The Alenza 001 is now available in Singapore and is suitable for any U.S.A, European and Asian premium SUV car model. This new line of SUV tyres comes in 44 different sizes, ranging from 16 to 22 inches in diameter and 35 to 70 series tyre profile.
