Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India, China (BSAPIC) has introduced the Turanza 6, its premium flagship tyre that features advanced technology for road noise and vibration, offering an exceptionally quiet and smooth ride. This also makes it equally suited to the demands of all conventional and electric vehicles.
Building on the success of the Turanza T005A, the new tyre prioritises quietness, ride comfort, and wet grip as key performance improvements. It incorporates groundbreaking innovations in compound, tread pattern, and tyre shapes to meet the evolving needs of modern drivers. Powered by Bridgestone's ENLITEN technology, it offers an 8% reduction in noise levels and an 8% increase in ride comfort. The tyre also benefits from a 14% improvement in wet grip.
In keeping with the times, the Turanza 6 is also designed to meet the specific demands of EVs: Its low rolling resistance extends battery life and addresses range anxiety concerns, while its enhanced wear tolerance combats the increased weight and torque of EVs.
With sustainability at the core of its management and business, the production of the Turanza 6 reduces newly sourced raw material usage during production and extends its wear life, resulting in a 16% reduction in emissions at the raw material stage. Furthermore, its improved rolling resistance decreases energy consumption while driving, leading to a 13% reduction in emissions per kilometre during the use stage.
The Bridgestone Turanza 6 will be available in selected markets across Asia Pacific Region from the start of 2025, with a wide range of sizes from 15-inch to 20-inch for passenger cars.
