Targeting the young, urban market, Audi launches an off-road inspired urban crossover, featuring increased connectivity, customisation and raised ride height.

A fresh, self-confident road stance, plenty of room for customisation and extensive connectivity: All these are hallmarks of the new Audi A1 citycarver. Taking inspiration from its allroad models, the A1 citycarver is a new, off-road inspired urban crossover for the rugged urban streets. The most progressive model in the new A1 product line, it promises versatility in any environment: In the city, on country roads and highways and even on slightly rough terrain.

Wheel arches and the redesigned side sills are painted in a contrasting colour to add to its rugged image
Based on the A1 Sportback, the citycarver features the same powerful and taut, sporty body lines while also offering four centimetres of additional ground clearance, providing for easier entry and better visibility.

Adding to its rugged image, the citycarver also features underbody protection painted in stainless steel that hint at its off-road inspired design, while the wheel arches and the redesigned side sills are painted in a contrasting colour. A redesigned rear bumper also echoes the robust look of the front end.

The colour palette for the A1 citycarver includes nine exterior colours, and Audi also offers a contrasting roof finished in either Mythos black metallic or Manhattan grey metallic. A black styling package is also offered which will finish attachments in the lower section of the body, which come standard in shades of grey and a stainless steel paint, in deep black.

Lower section of the body feature attachments that come standard in shades of grey or in stainless steel paint
Attractive infotainment components and extensive connectivity will make the Audi A1 citycarver a clever companion for young drivers.

A fully digital instrument cluster comes as standard, with the Audi virtual cockpit and MMI navigation plus topping the range.

Drivers can control the top-of-the-line infotainment system via the 10.1-inch touch display or simply via voice control.

Buyers who opt for the MMI navigation plus will also receive additional functions such as navigation with Google Earth, traffic information online, parking information, hybrid radio and a Wi-Fi hotspot for mobile devices, while the optional Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System will come with 560W of power.

The infotainment system can be controlled via the 10.1-inch touch display or simply through voice control
The optional Dynamic package also promises to give the A1 citycarver more nimble and precise handling. Included in the package are brake disks with sporty red calipers, the Audi drive select dynamic handling system featuring four driving modes, as well as a sound actuator and adjustable dampers. Audi also offers wheels up to 18 inches in diameter with the dynamic package.

The Audi A1 citycarver can be ordered in Europe beginning in August 2019 and will arrive at European dealerships in the third quarter of 2019.
