Citroen is helping the Greek island of Chalki on it way to becoming a green island by donating a fleet of electric vehicles to serve as the island’s police and coast guard vehicles.

The fleet of six fully electric vehicles include two Citroen Amis for the Police and Coast Guard authorities respectively, along with two new e-C4s, one e-Spacetourer to the Municipality of Chalki and one e-Dispatch will also be delivered to the Energy Community of Chalki.

The cars are supplied to the island on a free 48-month lease after which Citroen will buy back the cars and donate them to the Municipality of Chalki.

The new collaboration is said to kickstart the transformation of Chalki into a green economy. Citroen is also in close collaboration with the Greek government to undertaking meansures to transform Chalki into an electric island that uses green energy. The aim is to make this progress available to all residents and businesses on the island.
