The electric grand tourer now comes with an upgraded battery alongside a new RS e-tron GT Performance variant which offers a total of 912bhp.

Audi has revealed the updated e-tron GT.

The lineup for the performance electric sedan now starts with the e-tron GT, which gets a total power output of 671bhp. Sitting above this is the RS e-tron GT, which gets a total power output of 845bhp.

The rear diffuser for the Audi e-tron GT has been redesigned for this update, while a new range of rims are also being offered

The e-tron GT lineup is led, finally, by the RS e-tron GT Performance, which gets a stunning total output of 912bhp, which allows it to complete the century sprint in just 2.5 seconds. This performance also makes the RS e-tron GT Performance the most powerful production car that Audi has built to date, and places it just nearly within reach of the 1,093bhp output of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.

Audi states that it has reduced the weight of the electric motor at the rear axle by close to 10kg, while the car’s cooling system has also been optimised. The car also now gets an strengthened driveshaft and the electronics responsible for all-wheel drive distribution have been further reworked.

This new power for the Audi e-tron GT also comes courtesy of a revised battery chemistry, which now offers a total of 97kWh of useable capacity, while weighing in at 625kg in total, nine kilograms less than before. This battery can also now be charged at a maximum of 320kW.

The car also gets a redesigned steering wheel in its cabin, which comes with a a red marking at the 12 o'clock position on the RS models

Audi has also upgraded the brake system of the e-tron GT, although those that want more braking force still can opt for carbon fibre ceramic discs, while those who opt for the RS models will be able to get tungsten carbide-coated brake discs.

Handling prowess, meanwhile, has been upgraded thanks to the use of new air suspension system with two-chamber/two-valve technology, although an active air suspension system is also available as an added option. Also offered here is all-wheel steering.

In the cabin, the Audi e-tron GT gets new seats and trim options while a redesigned steering wheel with a flat top and bottom now features.
