Jaecoo 5 Electric - A One-Month Love Affair: Switching to the J5 EV (Luxury Vibes with a Side of Adrenaline)
I've officially crossed the one-month mark with the Jaecoo J5 EV after completely abandoning internal combustionโand honey, there is no turning back.As a first-time EV owner, I'll admit the first 1 to 2 weeks were a bit of a digital detox struggle.
Getting used to regenerative braking and navigating the screen instead of traditional buttons felt like learning to fly a spaceship. But once your brain syncs up with the machine? It is an absolute breeze.Let's talk about the looks: the exterior serves pure luxury-brand energy.
It gives off strong European/Range Rover vibes with its bold, boxy, minimalist linesโturning major heads at the HDB multi-storey car park and shopping mall pick-up points. Inside, it feels premium and punchy for the price.Driving it daily is incredibly smooth.
The 540-degree camera system makes tight parking spots a total flex (you can see right under the chassis!), and the instant electric torque makes overtaking effortless.
The Only Spicy Critique:The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is stellar on long, straight stretches, but keep your hands firmly on the wheel when hitting sharper bends. If you trust it completely on a curve, it tends to overrun the lanes and drift out. It's a sudden, heart-stopping thrill that will flash your life before your eyesโgreat alternative to an iced kopi if you need a quick spike of morning adrenaline!
Overall, it's a gorgeous, tech-packed ride that punches way above its price bracket. Just respect the autonomous tech and stay alert on the bends!... Read More
Leapmotor C10 Electric - A very Premium Car
First time owner of EV, I can say is a very unique experience. Honest review of this car owned so far,
Price point: a c segment price for a D segment car, same features for most ev out there but you get very good price of it. Almost same price as atto3.
Safety: follows euro Ncap, all safety taken seriously, some say over reacted but I say its a must. To toggle and switch to your own pref is not troublesome at each drive.
Comfort and space: I dont think you can find another car with this level of space, at this price point. Size is almost the same as sealion but atleast cheaper by 20k. Road handling and noise level is superb.
Software: smooth and no lag, features is good enough for daily drive, the on board gps, navigation is very smooth, with you obu alert, it is almost perfect, you dont really need android auto or apple carplay.
User experience, driver feel is very comfortable and good. No need to drive aggressively and you get to enjoy the ride. Passengers when getting on board will feel as a limo, coz is huge and elegant. Rear space is superb huge!
Entertainment system: sound system is good, you get to choose from surround to dynamic or front, srt your own pref and enjoy the music.
Overall: at this price point, size and ux. Cannot find another in sg.... Read More
