Cat A COE - Back up again
Premiums for Cat A, for cars up to 1,600cc in engine capacity and with an output of no more than 130bhp, or electric vehicles with a power output of up to 110kW, went up by $1,780 (1.4%) to reach a value of $126,009.
The current premium now stands at 14.2% above the 12-month trailing average. The total number of bids submitted exceeded the available quota for this round by 67%, higher than the 12-month average of 54% for the category.
Cat B COE - Down by a fair bit
Premiums for Cat B, for larger cars with more than 130bhp or engine displacements larger than 1,600cc, or electric vehicles with a power output of more than 110kW, fell by $2,512 (1.9%) to reach $126,989. This is the first time premiums for the category have fallen after six consecutive sessions which saw premiums for the category climbing.
This drop means the current premium for the category is now 4.3% above the 12-month trailing average. The total number of bids submitted exceeded the available quota for this round by 46%, a little lower than the 12-month average of 47% for the category.
Cat C COE - Still going up
Premiums for Cat C, for goods vehicles and buses, fell this session by $1,777 (1.9%) to close at $94,000. The total number of bids submitted exceeded the available quota for this round by 55%, higher than the 12-month average of 53% for the category.
Cat E COE - A slight drop
Premiums for Cat E, the open category, fell this session. This session saw premiums for the category drop by $1,000 (0.8%), bringing the final premium for the category to $129,000.
This latest drop means the current premium for the category is now 4.7% above the 12-month trailing average. The total number of bids submitted exceeded the available quota for this round by 90%, higher than the 12-month average of 85% for the category.
Prevailing Quota Premium
